Eli Anderson was born in Hawkins Co., TN abt 1825 (See 1860 Lee Co VA census) and migrated with in-laws, Richard and Mary Stamper of Ashe Co., NC, to Jessamine Co. either during or shortly after the Civil War. Along with these families were Wiley and Sarah Ann Stamper Anderson. See 1870 Jessamine census. They then appear in the Garrard Co. census in 1880. These Andersons were not connected with the Andersons' who came from VA into KY early 1800's. I have further information on the Stampers and Anderson families.
