    3. Recommended reading for info on Lewis Singleton (and many more Singletons in Jessamine Co) all the Jess Co deed books and probate books starting around 1810 to 1830's. Many details about this family; Lewis was a deputy to Manoah Singleton, Sheriff of Jess Co, signed deeds as such when property was ordered sold for various reasons(they signed deeds selling part of Lewis Craigs estate ordered by judgement against estate). Manoah's wife reported (not proved) to be Sarah Craig; Lewis could have been their son, named for Lewis Craig, or may not have been. Manoah left no will (estate inventory in 1833), but prior to his death deeded (alongwith wife Sarah) in Dec 1813, to their sons "Jaconia" [Jackonia, Jacksonia, etc.] and Mason Singleton, Manoah's "home place" 460 acres, in return for the two sons' keeping "Manoah and Sarah in decent confortable home and maintenance during the remainder of their lives..". one of 3 witnesses was Lewis Singleton. If you read all these recorded documents, will find proof of of family relationships. All available on microfilm at KHS Lib in Frankfort, all LDS (Mormon) Family History Centers by ordering, and other sources...m.a. -----Original Message----- From: mibivin@yahoo.com Sent: Jun 4, 2004 11:00 AM To: KYJESSAM-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [KYJESSAMINE] Lewis Singleton This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. 3. The Lewis Singleton that lived in Jessamine Co. was married to Rebekah Robards(14 Jan 1814), had six kids and after she died married her widowed sister Catherine(Kitty)Robards Keene Hervey(19 Nov, 1828). They had two children together.Kitty had four from previous unions. I have good reason to believe Jaconias was Lewis' father. Manoah was Lewis' grndfather. Cynthia "M. A.
