Hi List! First of all I wanted to compliment you for having such an active and informative list. Second, I'm sorry that when I was in KY earlier this year (Goggin Reunion @ Burkesville, KY) that I didn't know of a possible connection to Jessamine Co.,KY. I most definitely would've 'coerced' my sister into a little side trip. Since my return to OK I've come across information that begs the kind of help that only a native of the area or a dedicated student of the area is going to be able to help me with. The Jessamine County site has a treasure in the posting of the old court records. I found many references to Goggins Ferry. Can anyone identify the location of Goggins Ferry for me, or at least the waterway that it crossed? Is it possible that someone may have the identity of which Goggin had that ferry and for what years? Is the current Groggins Ferry Road the same as the road that was being built in the early 1800s to Goggins Ferry? I know that my William Goggin was at a later date (1808 and later) running Goggins Landing in Cumberland Co., KY which was a ferry across the Cumberland River at the Cumberland and Russell Co. lines, but I feel that these must be two different ferry locations. Any body have any clues? Thanks for the help! Anne Goggin Mooneyham
