I have read about the Wells and Carothers, seems it was a Jacob Wells, and he moved to Jackson County, Indiana. Jacob Wells was also the name of my husband's Grandfather. I have the history of Jackson County, Indiana if you need anything more from there. My Smith's, Haggard's, Kindred's, Gentry's, Zike's, Prather's, etc., came from Jessamine County, into Jackson and Lawrence, and Morgan Counties, etc., in Indiana. If I can help with something let me know. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ABB.2ACE/3322.1 Message Board Post: Hello Chris, Have you been able to find any children of William and Elizabeth Carroll Fisher? When my gg-grandfather (Andrew Fisher) married in Henderson County in 1875 there was an H. Fisher that was one of the witness'. I have a feeling that this H. Fisher could have been a brother and thought I would try and see if he connected to William and Elizabeth. H. Fisher could be Henry Fisher. Can't remember where I saw it, but there is a William Fisher that married a Martha Lee in Jessamine County June 11, 1815 and she was born in VA. When my gg-grandfather married he stated that his father was b in KY and mother in VA. Would like to hear from you. Joan,

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: WELLS CONNER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ABB.2ACE/1150.1 Message Board Post: Hi Pam, I am looking for the same Malinda Conner who I believe was married to Hilary/James H. Wells and was the Father of Robert Jesse Wells. I am not quite as far along in my research as you are though. I only have that there was a Hilary Wells (age 42) in the 1850 census in Warren Co., KY with a Malinda Wells age 33, born in KY and lots of children (some of whom are too old to be Malinda's--brothers-in law or from a first wife of Hilary perhaps?). However, I cannot find Hilary in the 1860 census. There is a James Wells with a son Robert, but the ages don't match quite. Additionally, I did find a Hilary in the 1840 census that seems to fit, but I haven't digested all that information yet. Please let me know if you've made any progress on this line. I also see a Malinda Conner in the slave roles around 1840. I am actively working on this now. My Father is John Wells, and his lineage is John Wells son of Jess Hilary Wells, son of Robert Jesse Wells son of James Wells. He is getting r! eady to take part in the Wells DNA project so that may shed some light on this mystery. Barbara Stewart

    3. Hi All It has come to my attention that some of your email addresses are bouncing after your address bounces 3 times you are automatically removed from the mail list. Some ISP's are using a program called spamcop to block spam but what it doesnot recognize is that the mail list is not spam it is something you signed up for. What you will have to do is have your ISP put the email address for the mail list on the accept list as I get the email addresses that this effects I will email you privately so you can talk to your ISP to get this resolved. Thanks, Jim
