My 4th great-grandfather, George Thomas Fitzgerald, died in Jessamine Co. probably around 1861. He was married to Rebecca (Peggy) Rice Mitchell. I would like to know first of all if he left a will and second, if he did how do I go about getting it? I have been told that I need to get it from the court house but don't have an address for them. If there is anyone that lives there that could let me know, I would be grateful. Also if someone has a cemetery book and could look up to see what cemetery George and Rebecca are buried in that would be wonderful and I would be delighted. Rebecca died sometime after 1880. Thanks for any help that can be given to me, Shellie

If anyone knows anything on this family or there burial i would appreciate any help i can get. Out of 4 sons this may be the first that there may be proof of his parentage. I sure hope so phyllis

My mothers parents are Green Berry Underwood and Lottie Shearer Underwood. I am looking for help on either of these families. I have a good bit on the Shearers thanks to some great New Cousins, but my Underwoods, well no one seems to know very much including the records I have been able to find online. I live in Florida so I'm not able to jump in the car and run to the courthouse to dig through, even though I would dearly love to get some of that dust on my hands LOL. Anyway if you know anything about either of these families I would appreciate even the smallest of tidbits. I have the main line from my grandfather but no branches are on that tree as of right now. My great grandparents were Green Berry Underwood (also) and Ida B Miller Underwood Marshall were born raised and He died in Jessamine County He was born in 1884 and died in 1905, 7 months before my grandfather was born. Not sure about Ida's death. and on the Shearer side Eliga Shearer and Mary Parker, Eliga and Mary were from Garrard county originally but lived in Jessamine while my grandmother was growing up then they moved to Ohio from there. Lucian I would be glad to share anything I have with you. Which would you prefer, scan and email the photos or snail mail copies to you? I will tell you this, if you want them snail mailed it will be couple weeks before I can get them copied and mailed. I don't mind either way, just let me know what you prefer. Christi, I am very interested in some of the pictures that you have identified so far. My mother's family goes back to at least 1870 in and around Wilmore and Jessamine County. My father and I both graduated from Asbury and my mother was born behind the College. She and her family also lived at High Bridge for several years. I would appreciate copies of any pictures, especially: the swinging bridge Rev Jack Lynn Broklyn Bridge the Gym 2 females at Jessamine Creek I am doing extensive research on the Alcorn family in Jessamine Co. and these would be a big help. Thanks for any pictures that you can send. Lucian Hatfield
