There was an attempt to save and restore the house in the 1980s but they could not raise enough $ and it was torn down. Clyde Bunch, President of Jessamine Co Historical Society knows much more and even has a site at Rootsweb about Rev War soldiers I think including Fisher Rice.

I am looking for Elizabeth Robards Davis, widow of Thomas Terry Davis, who was a congressional representative from KY in 1789, and a territorial judge in Indiana and the Louisiana Purchase area. He died in 1807. Elizabeth is the daughter of William Robards, Jr. and Elizabeth Pleasants Cocke. Davis Floyd is the son of Robert Clark Floyd and Lillian ? (Hampton? Davis?), and is the grandson of William Floyd and Abadiah Davis of Amherst Co. VA. His first wife was Susannah Jones Johnston, widow of George W. Lewis. She was the daughter of Benjamin Johnston and Dorothy Jones, and the granddaughter of William Johnston and Ann Chew of Farquier Co. VA. Davis was active in Indiana politics, and FL politics 1823-1832. This family is related to the family of James Winn and Hannah Withers. I cannot figure out why they would get married in Jessamine Co. Davis Floyd was tried and convicted in Clark Co. IN for conspiracy in the Aaron Burr affair in 1807; Thomas Terry Davis was the judge presiding over the trial. He was fined $10 and 3 hours in jail.
