Looking for any information on Robert G. Sherwood married to Francis Unknown. He was married a second time to Arnimta Rogers, after Francis died and had moved to MO. Downey Margaret M. Downey, age 85, of Hamilton, passed away at Tri-County Extended Care Center, on Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at 7:45 a.m. She was born in Nicholasville, Kentucky on May 6, 1918, the daughter of John Roy and Maggie (Beaumont) Thomas. Margaret was a paper sorter for Sorg Paper Company in Middletown, retiring in 1981. As a teenager, she moved to Hamilton, residing with her brother Russell Thomas and his family. She is survived by one son, Ronald Downey and his wife Linda of Waynesville, North Carolina and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James Thomas, Claude Thomas and Russell S. Thomas Sr.; and three sisters, Ethel Montgomery, Arizona and Virgil Lee Thomas. Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park on Monday, June 16, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Donald Gillis, Director of Missions (Retired) of Rolling Hills Baptist Church officiating. My Great, Great, Great Grandfather was Thomas McComas Coons, born 1817 in Jessamine County. Married a Susan F. in 1841, no other dates. I have found Thomas in the 1850 census Jessamine Co., Kentucky, District 2. He and Susan F. had Sarah, Elizabeth, Clayton McComas (my Great Great Grandfather), James and Henry. Clayton was born 28 Jan 1849 in Jessamine County. Moved to Ray County Missouri and married there. Thomas' father was Samuel Coons, married in 1807 in Fayette County Kentucky, died abt Sept 1823, location unknown, maybe Jessamine. Two things I'd really like to find out. One is Susan F. of Indian heritage, as well as her last name so I can at least find out her parents and maybe a chance at futher lineage. Second, was there a McComas in her family? My Dad is really hung up on that name and feels strongly it is Scotish which would not make Susan F. of Indian descent unless her mother was. Of course any other information you can find would be additional gravy and well taken. He had William as John William Frazier m. to Isabelle Moody. and the right children and few dates. I found out much of what I add to it in the Scot-Ire records of Augusta VA and a few VA record copies. Hopefully I was able to desipher them correctly. Unfortunately Jim's branch of the later family had separated themselves from the rest of the family and what I have is just an outline with some dates and places. Much of it I have been able to verify through other branches trees and list of records and some actual records. William Whitley (m. to Hannah Hutchison is in the WAyne Co. KY Marriage Book pub Wayne Co.Gen Soc. Also Garret's marriage to Keziah (Kezih) Hutchison. IN Published legal records of that Co. I found that the brs. were born in Jassimine County and that W Whitney was an Indian Scout and Garret was an Atty. and gunsmith. I need to check some of my note and get back lat! er. Pat

Our Christian mother went to heaven from her home in the loving hands of her family. She was born on April 8, 1938, in Nicholasville, Ky. She was also loved by her brothers and sisters in Christ at Calvary Baptist Church where she attended. Her life passions were her family, her home and gardening. She was preceded in death by her father, Allen B. Crawford; her mother, Carrillia Shank; a grandson, Ryan Darius Rashidian; and brother-in-law James Copeland. Survivors include two daughters, Tangi Cunningham, and husband, Bob, of Trenton, and Kathy Hezlep of Florida; two sons, David Hezlep of Middletown and Tim Hezlep, and wife, Sue, of Franklin, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Shandi Meadows, and husband, Ron, Rob and Taylor Cunningham, Joshua and Haylee Hezlep, Michael Price and Lee-Ann Hall; a great-grandson, Gunnar Meadows; two sisters, Jeannetta Moss of Orange City, Fla., and Betty Copeland of Fairborn, Ohio; and two nephews, Larry and Matthew Moss.
