I appreciate knowing where the Lowry Cemetery is in Wilmore. I am interested in communicating with someone in the Lowry family that remembers living at 312 Walters Lane in Wilmore, KY. At the time they lived there that was probably not the name of the street as the street was named after the "Walters Family" who lived there following the Lowry Family. All I know at this point is that the family was well to do and they were somehow involved with the railroad. My interest in the family/property is that my recently deceased grandparents owned the farm. It has bee passed down to my uncle and I. I am looking for info. about the house and possibly early photos. Can you lead me in any direction. I will be glad to share any information I find with you. Thanks so much, Delora Comfort-PMSewer@aol.com

Hello fellow genealogists, In case anyone else is searching information on this "lost son of Jessamine Co., KY, and Williamson Co., IL": In brief, Samuel Marrs, Jr. was the son of Samuel Marrs, Sr, and Jane Hinds, originally from Jessamine Co., KY. Samuel Jr's mother died, and his father remarried the widow Elizabeth Uttinger. Soon after the marriage Samuel Sr. left Kentucky for Indiana. Samuel Jr was old enough at this time to be independant, so left Ky for Williamson Co., Illinois where he married Eliza A. Duncan, and fathered a family. (Not mentioned in the information below is an older son, Frances E. Marrs.) While his youngest child was still a baby, Samuel died, his widow remarried to Thomas Moore, and the greater Marrs family lost track of this branch of the family. The pension file provided the following information: Application of Guardian of Minor Children In Order to Obtain Army Pension, Act July 14, 1862 This Declaration must be made before a Judge or Clerk of Court Record, or some officer having custody of its seal ======================================= State of Illinios County of Williamson, SS.
