Is there such a thing as divorce records for Jefferson Co. in 1890-1891? Here is what I'm posed with, I have a 17 yr old female, getting her marriage bond and marriage license in Louisville, that has a marriage certificate attached, that says she married at a church (church name not given) in Sellersburg, Clark Co., IN. She had someone state on the bond (don't know who he is) that she was of lawful age to marry, he also is the one that paid for the bond. YET, in every census, starting after the marriage, she is found under her maiden name and always listed as single? This is starting in 1900. She was Catholic, but it appears she did not marry in a Catholic church, as I've driven the Clark Co., IN list a little nutty trying to pursue A church, ANY church. Suggestions anyone? Debbie
