Patty, My grandfather was in St. Joseph's Orphanage in Louisville, 1891-1896. The University of Kentucky in Louisville has the records. The children did not necessarily have to be Catholic. This orphanage was still standing a few years ago. It was being used as a day-care and still in very good condition. Good Luck in your search.
