HI Barbara - According to my Grandfather's memoirs, the year was 1893, and here is a quote "Mrs. Fowler said to Beachie, here is $400.00, you and Robert go to Louisville and go to Besley and Langan? and get your wedding clothes. So one morning we took the morning train and went to the city and put up at the Louisville Hotel at Fourth and Main Streets." It just always sounded to me like a Department Store, or maybe a specialty shop. How about the Louisville Hotel? Was there one at Fourth and Main? I really appreciate your efforts!!!! Thanks!
