Re Schardein - In the 1940's, and possibly much earlier, there was a Schardein's Tavern on Old Third Street Road--later changed to Southside Drive--in South Louisville. That's in southern Jefferson County, not far from Iroquois Park. At that time there wasn't much development in that area, so maybe that's where Schardein, KY was. (?) Bill Horine Orlando
