Hi Lucy, I've looked through my notes and records and I'm sorry to say that I've found no references to any KAUFMAN folks. Were they in the Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky area in the early 1800's? Gene Whitley

Thanks Gene for looking: My Martha Kaufman was born in 1836 in Jefferson Co., Ky. That is really the only info I have on her except somewhere along the line, I have written that she married a Barringer, Bassinger or something like that. Thought I would take a chance and ask you.
