Hi Patty, Thanks for writing me back. I'm going to have to find that web site again. Maybe I can track down who actually set it up and ask them about it. I've been concentrating my research on my Dad's side so far, mostly because I found all that work already done on my Mom's (Byarley) side. All my family on my Dad's side (Graeter) was born in KY about 5 generations back and then Germany and I haven't been able to find one marriage in KY, so I'm in the same boat you are there. I'll keep your e-mail address and let you know when I find that site again so you can have a look-see at it. As far as I can go back as yet, Byerly & Bierly, Bierlay, is what I am finding. Florence Matthews Byerly wife of Charles Byerly, was born in Indiana though. Their 10 children all born in Louisville. Since I haven't found their marriage record in Jefferson County, I am assuming they were married in Indiana. Sincerely, Patty P>S> Something I have learned finding my dads grandfathers roots in Germany back to 1505, is that once they get to America, their names are transcribed by strangers..many end up keeping this newly formed surname. ==== KYJEFFER Mailing List ==== Submit your information to the Jefferson Co., KY History and Genelaogy project.
