O.K. I'll throw one in....Oralee's Cookie Jar Bakery on the corner of Stiltz and Frankfort Avenue. THEY had the best Charlotte Russe! Then there was the Canary Cottage in St. Matthews. It was the place to be on Friday's. It was a BIG deal if I was out of school and got to go to the Friday fashion show. They had Susie Q french fries, my favorite. I was quite awestruck at what lovely models wore. If I was lucky, my mother would take me to Dwight Thomas in St. Matthews to shop or Tweed and Tartan. I'd save my baby sitting money to buy a McMullen blo use or sweater with gross grain ribbon. Bauer's restaurant was the place to be on Tuesday's. They also had informal modeling from the local shops.
