Nancy & others, I am curious how well you recall this Bisig gentleman and what you may of known about him. I have Bisig in my line and am told there were only 2 different Bisig families at the time. Also, noticed there was a mention of Mrs. Kendall- I have a photo of residence which I suspect was located in eastern downtown Louisville (N of River Road and near Frankfort Ave), on the back of the pic, it reads Mrs. Kendall's residence. Any clues, as the name does not fit in my family history, yet my ancestors had the pic. Also, several speaking of the Portland area, does anyone recall a John Held whom had once lived on Xavier and also Slevin St. How about Schmid folks whom lived at 2500 Rowan St, 4021 Greenwood, and 4109 Sunset? Any clues welcomed- enjoy all the memories of times past! Kenny- STILL in KY! http://schmidgenealogy.homestead.com/Schmid.html "Connecting Great Relatives-1 Person at a time" > All outbound mail is virus scanned for your protection
Kenny, Funny how in searching your family you hit a brick wall, but then something turns up. My grandparents, Clara and Charles Kendall lived on Payne St., which is exactly where you mentioned the photo was taken (N. of River Road near Frankfort.) I have one picture taken of the inside of the house at Christmas...no date...written on the back was "Dresser set given by Grace." Grace was my grandfather's sister, who married William Blankenbaker. Would love to have a copy of your picture and gladly pay for copying and postage. Sorry I can't help you with your Bisig family....the name is not familiar to me. Good luck in your search.
