    3. Dear Listers, And here is another question: Does anyone remember Hoffmann Restaurant near First St. and Jefferson or Main St.? John Hoffmann ran it for years and then I think his son did. There was the Hoffmann name on the building for at least the next 50 years and it may still be there. There were factories and warehouses in the area. People who were in the "eating out" class would go there for lunch. Lunch pail types would go there only on special occasions. My grandfather, when he was young and single, would visit the place.
