I hoping someone may be able to help me with my road block. My grandmother never knew her real father, so I have been working uncovering his history. His name was Raymond Clark, born in 1904 (died xmas day w/ his 2nd wife in 1966) to parents William Clark and Hattie Grooms. I have census info from 1920 that leads me to believe William died before then, and that Ray had a sister named Florince, whom married Owen P. Lee. William, Raymond, and Hattie were all born in KY I have no more info on William. I have Hattie's death certificate which says she was born in 1874 in Garnettsville, but died in Jefferson in 1938. Her mother is listed as Emma Pusey and her husband John Grooms, both of KY. At ancestry I found a marriage record that lists Emily W. Pusey and John Z. A. Groom married February 02, 1871 in Meade, KY. I can not find any census info that links William, Hattie, and Raymond together following his birth. I found a 1910 census image for Raymond, but it shows him living with Joseph and Emma Hardly and their 3 children, listing Raymond as "nephew." I can not find any more information on them past that census image. I am assuming Emma must have been Hattie's sister. I can't find anymore census images for him at all! Raymond was married to my greatgrandmother, Nellie Leblanc, who gave birth to my grandmother, Betty Jo Clark on August 15, 1925. Does this sound familiar to anyone, or does anyone think they could help? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
