I'm hoping someone can help me with info regarding John Delaware Otter who was born July 4, 1814 in Virginia and died in June 1883 in Louisville, Ky. He married Nancy R Vertrees in 1837. She was born Sept 10, 1816 and was the daughter of John Jacob and Catherine Davis Vertrees of Elizabethtown, Ky. I have came across information that said John was the largest wholesale grocer in Louisville. The article stated that his sons continued running the family business after his death. I believe he had at least 4 sons. However, I have info on only one son, William Pleasant Otter. He was b July 30, 1838 (possibly Brownsville, Ky) and died Oct 18, 1917 in Louisville. His wife was Anne Mills Crenshaw, d/o Benjamin Mills and Nancy Patterso Munford Crenshaw. Priscilla
