I apologize if this is not a pertinent subject. But my curiosity gets the best of me. There is an old 2 story bldg on Dixie Highway that has a wide porch, and a balcony on front of the second floor. It has been painted a gold color. I read somewhere that it used to be called Eight Mile House. My Dad said that was because when it was a stage coach stop, it was eight miles from Louisville. Does anyone know any further info on the building or know where I might find more info? It is on the East side of Dixie Highway. I haven't found anything on the internet. Thanks, Barb T
