Kathy, Thanks for the response. As far as I can go back as yet, Byerly & Bierly, Bierlay, is what I am finding. Florence Matthews Byerly wife of Charles Byerly, was born in Indiana though. Their 10 children all born in Louisville. Since I haven't found their marriage record in Jefferson County, I am assuming they were married in Indiana.
