I posted this on genforum awhile back, but perhaps it will be useful to someone. I am not researching this family except in connection with the Floyd family, to which there is no direct link. Here are some Jefferson Co. KY Marriages from Marriage Book 1, Jefferson Co. Archives. Most were performed by James Vance who was a minister at Anchorage Presbyterian Church. Anchorage is a small community in the northeastern part of Jefferson Co. James Vance was also the minister at Pennsylvania Run Presbyterian Church which is in the south-central area of Jefferson County. A Welsh family lived in the Penn Run area. Rev. Vance presided at the marriage of my Rebecca Malott and John Thompson in 1810. Both lived in the Penn Run neighborhood. Deborah
A David Augustus also ended up in Daviess Co., KY early on. He and his wife Sally were both born about 1788 in Virginia (from 1850 Census). They were the parents of Frances Jane Augustus who married William Worthington in 1841 in Daviess Co., and Elizabeth Augustus b. 1830) who married Robert G (possibly Gilchrist) Miller (1819-1872) in 1850. I have quite a bit on the family of the latter. Robert G. Miller was the brother of my g-g-g- grandmother and nephew of my g-g-g-g-grandmother (different lines). These Millers started in Caroline Co., VA moved to Henry Co., KY then on to Daviess and Hancock Cos., KY. I know NOTHING about any other Miller families.
