Hi, I grew up in Louisville and got married a month before my 17th birthday in 1944. Didn't have to go to IN. Just went do to the marriage license bureau. in Louisville. Perhaps there were not as many restrictions during wartime. I can't even recall whether or not I needed parental permission. I would hope so, since I was underage.
