Sometimes it seems I am so forgetful. I know that I had e-mailed someone a little bit of information on Springer Augustus a long time ago, but can't remember who. So I am sending this hoping that person was a part of this list. If not I know there are a couple of people out there that are interested in the name Weams which I found associated with Springer Augustus. Anyway, I was looking through the early wills of Jefferson County and found the following information on Springer Augustus. I sending this just in case you haven't found it yet. His wife was Nancy (Kellar) Augustus Brothers: John, David, Jacob and James In his will he requested that his beloved wife Nancy clothe and maintain William Weams son of ??? Weams until he arrives at the age of 14 years and that he receive a common English education and at age 14 to bind him out to some trade. This info comes from Jefferson County Will Book 2 page 189.
