Since I, among many others, was priced out of the Filson could you tell me if there is another source for the microfilm death certificates for Kentucky?
John they are available to read in Frankfort at the Office of Vital records. I have read some there for free on microfiche. They can be ordered by mail but they cost I think $10 each. You can look up the death records on the computer at Office of Vital records then if you can find one you need they are available for $1.50 each from Chester Ward. He can get them off the internet from 1911 to 1950 but not the later ones.. That is how I get mine. I don't get the later ones because of the price. I bet you can get them from the Main Library in Louisville. Call them. Chester gets them from the Library in Ownesboro. I got 5 today from Chester on these Hubers. I just found 2 more I need. So far I have not heard from Martie Bertrand. I looked for her phone number but she is not listed. I am wondering if she is off the Eich lineage. It was a Dorothy Eich in St Matthews who told me she burned the Huber pictures and would not let me come see her. I HOPE I am wrong and that she is off the Dr Matthew Huber line. Do you know if she is married or is she an "old maid"? Often they are interested in their lineage and like to help people.. I STILL HOPE TO HEAR FROM HER. I considered calling the 4 I found listed but hesitated to do it. I hope is not as hot there as it is here it was 93 yesterday. Are you working on your lines now? Elisabeth Elisabeth W.
