I'm searching for the parents names of two brothers that immigrated to Louisville. I have the brothers' death dates (one in 1864 and one in 1891) and thought if I found an obit or death cert for one of these guys I may be able to find their parents. From what I've learned, the process for death certs is pretty easy for deaths from 1911-on, but what about prior to that. Are they even available? I've seen some folk advertising their services to look up up obits, but is it likely they would find them if that old? It would probably be hit or miss if the info I need is even in the obit.
