Hey list members, It is generally frowned upon on most Rootsweb mailing lists to promote books for sale. Rootsweb believes in promoting free genealogy research, but finds no problem with letting researchers know what materials are available that might be helpful in our research. Having said that, I hope I'm not going to stretch the patience of some of you here, even though I find this topic completely appropriate. There has been an update to the Genealogy Books of Jefferson County page and I would like to invite you to check out some of the material there: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyjeffer/jeffersonbooks/books.html One of our very own list members, Alan Murray, has put together a book entitled, "Death Notices for Jefferson County, Kentucky". It has been added to the Jefferson County KyGenWeb page. However, this is somewhat different. Alan is not doing this for his personal monetary gain, as he has contracted with the publishing company and given them full rights to the book. His hope is that enough interest is served by his work to allow the publishing company to want to publish future books he has planned (at least 3 of them).
