    3. To anyone interested: I've never been to the Jefferson Archives located on Barrett. I have spoken with them on a few occasions and was told the layout is pretty easy. This is a self-service access to records. The persons I've spoken with on the phone seemingly are quite accomodating with giving assistance. I'm told there is an index listing "up front" of what they have. You go through the indexes of the different records of what you're needing, and then go pull the record yourself from their repository "in the back". It sounds just like any typical genealogical place to me. Of course, you can then copy the record that you want. Anyone else ever utilize this Archives to clarify my lack of a "visual"?
