To fellow listers I have been reading about the orphanages in Louisville, My fater was a plumber in Louisville. He was also on "board of St. Joseph's. We did a lot of plumbing work at St. Joseph. I was "allowed" to go along on jobs there when I was not in school. I was the "go-fer" go get this tool, this wrench, pipe etc. Anyway when I was of a very young age, I thought that the other kids at St. Joe's had a soft life compared to what I had to do, especially when they were playing baseball and I was working. I got to know later, how incorrect I was, But thats a different story. My fsther arranged for me to spend a day in the orphanage, like one of the orphans. You can safetly say I had a rapid change of attitude.
