The family or someone did get him a monument, It is about 8 X 5 feet and approximately 10 feet high. The inscription is as follows... George W. Norton Born Sept 6 1814 Died July 18 1889 Martha H. Norton Born Dec 7 1824 Died Mar 22 1911 "Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
