    3. Hi all I am wondering if anyone knows of a list of people buried in The old Central State Cemetery?? A ggg grandmother of a distant cousin is believed to be buried there. The hospital will not release any records without proof that you are a direct descendent. The want birth and death records all the way back. Might as well want blood. Any suggestions?? I haven't the patience or enough time left in my lifetime to do everything they want. The reqirements are nothing more than keeping their help from being "overworked". Darryl Just a thought....perhaps a note to the Govenor, from me, might stir something. The headstones that remain have mostly been shoved next to trees. Most are broken and shattered. I could not make out names on any. If we had an approximate location in the cemetery, then maybe we could search more diligently.?? The grass was pretty high so we may have missed some if they were flat stones. The sign at the gate says that a lot of the markers were wooden that had deteriorated with time, so no longer there. I have not given up. May try again another time. May try another time when ground is drier.
