Hi Nancy, You can visit or write the Jefferson County Department Of Public History at 810 Barret Ave, Louisville, Ky. 40204. They have Louisville death register from 1866 - 1910 (not complete). They will research for you for a charge. The Department of Public History is on the ^th floor.
