My Hercules was born abt 1848-1853 in Hardin, KY. He eventually moved to Louisville. I think he was living with his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Eliza Hays and George Winston Bennett. In 1867, he resided at 38th & Grand Street. I was hoping to find them in the 1870 Jefferson Co. census.
