    3. Bob, The Louisville Public Library, Main Branch, does have the death certificates on microfilm 1911-1953. There is also the index 1911-1995 on fiche and some hard copy indexes. Perhaps you asked for a certificate dated after 1952 or 1953. For these, you would have to contact the Office of Vital Statistics for a copy. The Filson Historical Society in Louisville also has the indexes and the microfilmed certificates from 1911-1952 or 53.
