Violet Anne Poynter Schafer, 75 Louisville, died October 16, 2006 at her residence, was a chemical dependency specialist and a member of the KY. Band of Cherokee. She was widow of James Richard Schafer, SR. Survived by daughters Maryanne Barnes and Suzan Day,; son James Richard Schafer, JR.
