Note: I have no connection, no further information and am not seeking additional information. Agnes T. Rives, 92, Louisville died October 16, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband Shannon Rives. Agnes' father was Robert "Uncle Bob" Thompson, born December 18, 1841 and died in 1940; served in the Civil War. He joined Co. C of the Kentucky Regiment of the Union Army October 9, 1861, near New Haven, KY. He was shot just above the knee in the Battle of Perryville. Robert was 40 miles from his home so he went there to recuperate and stayed at home for the rest of the war. In 1875 he married 1st Millie Bowling and raised 4 children. After Millie died, Robert married Susan Greenwell in 1912, he was 72, and Susan was 36. Susan died when she was 46. Robert's father was Stephen Thompson born in 1809, the year of Lincoln's birth and went to school with Abe and his sister Sarah before the Lincolns moved to Indiana.
