    3. Hey fellow researchers: Work has been extremely busy of late for me and I don't have the time to give concise responses to all of my daily email (as if I had a good response anyway). I thought I'd post them to the lists to see if anyone else could assist these persons. Where there are names, I have obtained consent to repost. 1) I wonder if you could provide some leads for me to look for a death record of my ggggg-grandfather in the Louisville area between 1778 and 1795. His name was William Mason. He had two children that we know, John Mason (b.1773), and Jane [Mason] Huey, who were born in Pennsylvania, and possibly a Mary [Mason] Jack, William Mason, and Samuel Mason as well. We have the following statement on Jane's death from the minutes of a church meeting, written in 1859: "Sister Huey was born in Bedford County, Pennsylvania Dec. 20th 1778. Her parents emigrated to this state when she was but a child and at a time when Indian depredations kept the sparse settlement in constant dread. It was while stationed near the present site of Louisville that she lost her father who was slain and scalped by the ruthless hand of the savage." I've found a William Mason in Madison County, and one in Lincoln County who almost fit, but they don't quite match up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Robert Mason robert.mason@msn.com robert.mason@hill.af.mil --------------------------------------- 2) I work at the Piqua Historical Area in Piqua OH, in the home of John Johnston (1775-1861). I am seeking information on the family of his son, Stephen Johnston, who located and died in Louisville, KY (death April 02, 1848). Stephen was married to Elizabeth Clark Anderson, a niece of George Rogers Clark. Can you direct me to where I would be able to check and see if Stephen had a will? I have tried looking online to find a source, but keep coming up empty. Marla
