The Kenton County Public Library has death certificates on microfilm for all Kentucky counties from 1911 - 1951. For a small fee they will mail you a copy. Make your request to the following address and include as much information as you know. Also, be sure to include your complete postal address so they can mail your copy/copies. Email them at: dschroed@kenton.lib.ky.us Hope this helps! S. I looked up Delbert Elliott on the Ancestry Ky. Vital Records disk - deaths 1911-1993 and found Delbert Elliott listed three times. Deaths listed for all Delbert Elliotts are: 18 Jan 1938, 21 Nov 1993, 31 Jan 1979 and 5 March 1942 for Delbert Elliott, Jr. I looked up the listing for the death on Nov 21, 1993 and got the following info: Death certificate number: 31947, Age at death: 83 years, Residence: Bell County, recorded in Volume 93. No Thomas Elliott born in 1944 listed in the death records Diane Shaw St. Louis, MO
Demolife@aol.com writes: If you get to Frankfort they are there, and last time I got them they were 50 cents to copy, there are more people on the list at the vitals that can look them up for you, my name has been taken off due to surgery, But Cheri does them for $1.50, and so does Chester. Both are really good. Just when you go to the vitals, scroll down a little further, and there is a list of people, who do them and the cost. John they are available to read in Frankfort at the Office of Vital records. I have read some there for free on microfiche. They can be ordered by mail but they cost I think $10 each. You can look up the death records on the computer at Office of Vital records then if you can find one you need they are available for $1.50 each from Chester Ward. He can get them off the internet from 1911 to 1950 but not the later ones.. That is how I get mine. I don't get the later ones because of the price. I bet you can get them from the Main Library in Louisville. Call them. Chester gets them from the Library in Ownesboro. I got 5 today from Chester on these Hubers. I just found 2 more I need. So far I have not heard from Martie Bertrand. I looked for her phone number but she is not listed. I am wondering if she is off the Eich lineage. It was a Dorothy Eich in St Matthews who told me she burned the Huber pictures and would not let me come see her. I HOPE I am wrong and that she is off the Dr Matthew Huber line. Do you know if she is married or is she an "old maid"? Often they are interested in their lineage and like to help people.. I STILL HOPE TO HEAR FROM HER. I considered calling the 4 I found listed but hesitated to do it. I hope is not as hot there as it is here it was 93 yesterday. Are you working on your lines now? Elisabeth Elisabeth W. Since I, among many others, was priced out of the Filson could you tell me if there is another source for the microfilm death certificates for Kentucky?
John, The Confederate Pensions files for Jefferson County are microfilmed and available through the Kentucky State Archives (KY Dept. for Libraries & Archives). Go to their Web site www.kdla.state.ky.us/ and download their genealogical request form. Request a copy of the file and mail with the appropriate fee. I think it's $12 for out of state requests. You might also contact the Jefferson County Office of Historic Preservation and Archives www.jefferson.ky.us/Archives/ and request a copy of the Confederate Pension file. (If they are still on file there also.) I sent to KDLA for a copy of my gr-grandfather's pension. It had some good info. VA., Ohio county, and Sabert Lemons/Lemmons born 1802 Bowling Green,Ky, Warren county. The Hoff were living in Louisville,KY in 1846. In April 1847 William T.O., the Sabert Hoff family, along with Hugh Logan (who in 1845 in Louisville, KY) had married Sarah I. Hoff, all were living in Franklin county, MO. Sometime around 1840, & 1843 thru 1846 William T.O. was living with a Wm. Rardon/Reardon family in Louisville, Ky. William T.O. was taxed for his horse. Was Wm. Rardon a brother in law to Wm. T.O.?? Wm. Rardon was a witness to John S. Dickinson in Louisville, KY marriage? Anyone know this John S. Dickinson? What did the S. stand for? Was John S. a brother to William T,O. Dickinson. William T.O. has a son named John James Schoffield/Scoffield Dickinson. Information given to me is Wm. T.O. Dickinsons father was in KY. and he was born 1794. Famalies with surnames of Dickinson, Logan, Claxton, Sergent & many others all came to MO. together as a group. Several of Sabert Lemons Hoffs brother "Lemons" also came along. Anyone who know anything about these famalies while they lived in Ky please help me out! Dixie Dickinson Tyree in Missouri
