I would greatly appreciate a marriage lookup for : Dr. Phillip Grable Trunnell and Margaret Weise/Weiss He lived in Louisville and I think the date would have been in the mid-1890's following his divorce from his first wife (my ggmother). I have purchased some marriage books but none covered the 1890's. Thanks for any help, Pat Payne in FL
To the List: Yesterday I stopped at the Cave Hill Cemetery Office and was advised that they have a new policy for genealogy research. As the gentleman explained, so many people are doing this and it is taking so much of their time that they will now charge $20.00 per hour to do research. They do have this charge on display with their general fees for service. If they are emailed a list of names to research, they will email the person back advising them what the fee will be. I asked another person how the cost would be figured if it only takes a few minutes to look up a record on file and she said it would probably be pro rated. (I'm kind of reading between the lines that 1 or 2 names to lookup is not the problem. More likely it is when a person requests several. So, use your own judgment when making a request.) They will continue to assist anyone in finding a grave site with maps. Also, the name with grave location, date of burial and possibly funeral home name is in their public office. A copy is also at the Main Library. BTW...They started keeping newspaper obits in 1945. Janis in Louisville

I am looking for info on my great grandmother, Birdie Mary Hays. She was born on December 25, 1878, in Louisville, KY. Her parents were Hercules Hays (b. abt 1850 in Elizabethtown, KY) and Mary Eva Townsley/Townley (b. June 15, 1858, in Clermont Co., OH). Birdie married William H. O'Neil in Louisville and they moved to Jacksonville, FL. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nancy Michaluk
I have an old directory, but am not sure of the date of publication. I suspect sometime in the 30's. 526 Zane Street shows located between Garvin Place and 6th Street. Residents are: J.W. Deane and Hugh Lewis. Sorry I can't run down a closer date of issue for you, but this is an old Caron's Directory with phone numbers being 2, 3, and 4 digits long. Hope this helps, Glenn.
Trying to find marriage of Hugh Monaghan and Catherine O'Rourke my gg grandparents. Thank you Carol __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! - Official partner of 2002 FIFA World Cup http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com

Sometimes it seems I am so forgetful. I know that I had e-mailed someone a little bit of information on Springer Augustus a long time ago, but can't remember who. So I am sending this hoping that person was a part of this list. If not I know there are a couple of people out there that are interested in the name Weams which I found associated with Springer Augustus. Anyway, I was looking through the early wills of Jefferson County and found the following information on Springer Augustus. I sending this just in case you haven't found it yet. His wife was Nancy (Kellar) Augustus Brothers: John, David, Jacob and James In his will he requested that his beloved wife Nancy clothe and maintain William Weams son of ??? Weams until he arrives at the age of 14 years and that he receive a common English education and at age 14 to bind him out to some trade. This info comes from Jefferson County Will Book 2 page 189. Will dated 11 November 1822. ~Alan
