    1. [KYJEFFER] Irish Newspaper
    2. Has anyone ever looked at the Irish American, a newspaper published in Louisville for the Irish community ? I wonder if they published obits and death notices of the Irish. Would the Irish be more likely to read that paper or the Courier Journal every day ? Sue

    1. [KYJEFFER] WEATHERLY again -- New stuff on Rootsweb
    2. Vincent Summers
    3. Hi... Rootsweb, upon searching for the surname WEATHERLY, revealed a KY Marriage and Death Record database. It listed: Sherman WEATHERLY of Jefferson County (this would be the son of George Lawson Weatherly): Weatherly Sherman Age 78 Death Place Jefferson Residence Jefferson Death Date 09-13-1947 Volume 041 etc. Similarly for Nell, etc. In addition, I have found the listing of a living Weatherly! If anyone has WEATHERLY connections, please contact me. Also, if there is another site for these Death and Marriage Records, please let me know. I am on a roll! Thanks, Vince Summers

    3. Pat, Here are years of recorded births for Louisville and Jefferson County. They are very incomplete, i.e. many births missing. 1852; 1854 through 1859; 1900 through 1906; 1908, 1909. The Louisville "Register of Births" doesn't begin until 1898.
