It was functional at the time ( Okay, Birth Dates and Dates of Death were missing from the database, but at least the names I plugged in were there and led to a section and site number ). (It is listed under..Cemeteries) It officially closed in 1893 and many of those buried were removed and buried in other cemeteries. Much of this cemetery lies in ruins and only a few records remain.     2. When I went to Cave Hill today to check on burials for someone, they told me that the burial database is now available online. There are a few bugs with the section numbers that they are in the process of working out, but if you are looking for names and burial dates, the database is quite useful. www.cavehillcemetery.com The cemetery is now charging $20 an hour for genealogy research if you need more personal help.
