    3. OK, that problem has been eliminated... any others? I know that then company who leased them to Ancestry still has them available (for pay), but I can not remember the name of it. I almost dropped my Ancestry subscription over that. 2. My sister-in-law used to sing and play the piano at Flaherty's 3 on Breckinridge Lane in the 1970's. That's where she met her husband. My husband is related to Flahertys on his mom's side. His aunt Frances Ising married a John Flaherty. He worked for the post office. He just died in October.

    1. [KYJEFFER] Ky.Early Birth & Death Records
    2. Debbie, Thanks as always for your help. I received a death certificate for Margaret Arnold wife of Alonzo Arnold. I can't believe the info it included. Margaret & Alonzo are the parents of my grandfather William G. Arnold. Margaret died Nov.29.1948. It stated that she was the widow of Alonzo Arnold who died Oct.06.1920 in Louisville. It appears she died at the same address I found her in 1920 1784 Bolling Ave. She was b. Oct 31 1867 Ky. I believe this is too early to obtain a birth record. Is 1920 too early to get a KY. death certificate?? I would love to get one for Alonzo.. The cemetery is St.Louis Cemetery..The funeral home is B. Ratterman & Sons ??(not sure of spelling) If you can tell me who to write to..I would appreciate it. It also has margarets parents. George W. Chambers b. Ky. Margaret Harbor b. Louisianna I know I ask alot of your time..if you tell me who to write to..I will do the work!!! Thanks sooooooooooo much. Patty

    3. Patty, I did not forget about you. I just haven't been online much this past week. Anyway, I did do a bit of digging around for your Margaret and Alonzo Arnold. I found the family in the 1910 and 1920 Jefferson Co., KY censuses, but could not find any alternate sources for her death record. For some reason, I could not locate them in 1900. You probably already know that in the 1910 census her age is recorded as 42, and it is 52 in 1920. So at least that much is consistent. Your earlier estimation of her being born about 1868 still holds true. Although I cannot be certain, I'd have to place my bets on the Margaret Arnold who died at age 81 in Jefferson Co. KY on 29 Nov. 1948. 3. I have done some minor updates and additions to the Jefferson Co. page recently. Since so many people seem to miss that Louisville is part of Jefferson county (not sure how!), I have renemed it the "Louisville and Jefferson County History and Genealogy Page". There have been links added to the 1873 and 1917 maps of Louisville as well as the Jefferson County general highway map from 1999. And also some other map links to cool stuff. I just finished transcribing a newspaper article about Bloody Monday (August 6, 1855, election riots). You think Florida is bad (well, Florida is bad...), then read this! And best of all, I am testing a couple of search engines on the site to see which does a better job, so there is both a Picosearch and a Freefind on there right now (might add Atomz too if I have time to work on it). I'll cut it back to 1 at a later date. Please keep in mind that building the search engines up may take a couple of days. Patrick
