Thanks for your help. I checked and there isn't a Beuchel Pct. on ancestry.com either -- so I still don't know where to look. The only two Wards that have page numbers 465 and 466 (where my Younger's are supposed to be listed) was Ward 5 and Ward 11. And when I looked at those pages, they were listed, nor was the Two Mile Precinct listed. I'm up against a brick wall here. Realized I should check for Younger in that same book. Did and they aren't mentioned. Paulina
Just checked a book called "A Place in Time." On page 18, the section on Buechel it says "An area called Two Mile Precinct - so named because it's northern edge was two miles from Louisville - included Buechel during it's early days." A Place in Time is the story of Louisville neighborhoods. Would be glad to do lookups. I'm heading back to Siletz tomorrow but will check when I get back in a week or so. Paulina
I think I read about Two Mile House in some old papers. If I remember right it was a point between Shepherdsville and Louisville. But not sure if it was from Shepherdsville or from Louisville. Aren't I a big help. :) But maybe that will be a clue to get you further. Paulina
I'm searching the 1870 Jefferson Co. KY census records for the surname YOUNGER. In the index found on ancestry.com, there are several of this surname living in "Two Mile House Pct.". I have not been able to find that precinct on ancestry.com and I hope someone will be able to tell me where it might be. In a Ward or some other Township? Any help will be appreciated. Wilma
I found this site while looking for Adam Hoke. It is a brief history of early Jeffersontown. http://www.jeffersontownky.com/history.html I didn't know that Jeffersontown was also known as the Town of Jefferson, and also Brunerstown. Regards, Alex

Yes the Henry with wife Mary Katherine is the right Henry. Can you check to see if Sophie Huber might be head of a household in 1900. Elisabeth W. Salyer elws@mounet.com
I didn't find a Joseph Huber with a wife of Sophie. I found a Henry Huber b. 1849 with a wife Mary K. and 7 children living on Preston Street. You can let me know if that one is correct.
