    3. Hello, Can someone do a couple marriage look-ups for me? My ancestors name was "Lottie Collins" (could be Charlotte)....she married husband # 1 Dave Hardman....and husband # 2 had the surname of Yates. I don't have any idea of the years my ancestor married these men. Thank You! Linda Farris Antal - cantal@cinci.rr.com

    1. [KYJEFFER] KY marriages disk search results
    2. Diane
    3. No listing of Zachary Cummins or Rebecca Welsh. -There were a lot of listings for the name Welsh in Jefferson County, but no Rebecca or anything close. Lots of Cummins results turned up in Harrison County, Bourbon County and Jefferson County, but not Zachary. -No Hamilton, Dennis listed on the disk. -No Ernst DeMalade and Anna Schlegle - I also tried the FTM disk of Louisiana marriages (because French names from that time sometimes are found in searches of Louisiana) and found no DeMalade. Tried Ancestry web page and got no results. -No Wysong on the disk Just because the names are not on these disks does not mean that the marriage did not take place there. It just means that the record was not collected for the disk. Please don't use the fact that the information was not found to assume that you should eliminate KY as a source. Sorry I did not find any info! Diane Shaw Sunny St. Louis, MO

    2. Susan Bryan
    3. After searching for many of my relatives in IL, IN, TN, and KY, who didnt show up in the Social Security Index, because the received a RR pension, not SS benefits, I came across the US Railroad Retirement Board. They were very helpful in sending requested genealogical information, for a fee of course. I just thought I would share their Genealogy Research page with everyone. http://www.rrb.gov/geneal.html ~Susan Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri

    1. [KYJEFFER] Western Kentucky marriages
    2. I have seen requests for marriages in Kentucky and I would like to try my names: I am interested in marriages for the surnames of Browning, Wysong, Hudson and Atkins (not sure of spelling on Atkins) These marriages should be found primarily in Edmonson, Grayson , Warren , Butler, Hart, and Barren counties. Maybe others but that should do for starters Joe Zimmerer Land O' Lakes, Florida

    1. [KYJEFFER] Rev. Thorpe
    2. Linda Antal
    3. Hello, Does anyone on this list have any information about a "Rev. Thorpe?" The Family Bible says my ancestors, Francis Marion Farris & Nettie Ree Hardman were married January 6th, 1895 by a Rev. Thorpe in Shelby County, KY; HOWEVER, I am unable to locate my ancestors marriage record. I sent them the required fee and they wrote me back to say the record was not located....so now I am attempting to see if I can find out where Rev. Thorpe ministered, or if he may have been a Justice of the Peace minister in one of the surrounding counties. At any rate, it is my hopes to locate my great-grandparents marriage record. If I can find out anything about this Rev. Thorpe....perhaps the marriage record might be in the church files. PLEASE.... If anyone has any information on a Rev. Thorpe....please contact me. Thank You! Linda Farris Antal - cantal@cinci.rr.com

    2. Cookie - Sorry, no match. These folks (my great-great-great grandparents) lived in Jefferson County, Kentucky. However, I understand there are Gillilands in southern Indiana who, in tracing their ancestry, find links to Gillilands in Jefferson County. Good luck in your search. Never boring, is it?! Judy

    2. I am descended from a Catherine GILLILAND who married a John LEARNED on December 29, 1812. She was born August 22, 1789, in New Jersey and died August 26, 1883, in Milfield, Athens County, Ohio. Does this match with anything you have? Any connection? Thanks for a reply. 2. Dear Susan, I have many relatives buried at St. Andrew's Cemetery in PRP, Jeff.Co. The records for St. Andrew's are kept at St. Paul's Catholic Church on Dixie Highway in Jefferson Co. They were very helpful when I contacted them about church records for the old St. Andrew Church. Hopefully, they can forward the information you need. Pat
