    1. [KYJEFFER] marriage lookups
    2. Diane
    3. >From the Ancestry CD, "Kentucky Vital Records: Marriages 1780-1920, Selected Counties": For Pam: Groom: HS Claggett Bride: Forst Claggett Date: 1918 County: Carroll Book: P/9-004 __________________ For Pam: Found 2 marriages for Bundy - -Polly on Jan. 5, 1813 to John Barnes in Pulaski Co. -Daniel Bundy to Sarah Barnes in July of 1813 in Pulaski Co. -Reuben Bundy to Sally Tucker in Clark County on 28 April 1821. -James Traylor to Sarah Rowe in Shelby County in Dec. 1823 Found Traylors in Hopkins County, no matches, though Lots of Wileys in all counties, no match on Herbert, Albert, Bert or Bertie. ___________________________________ For Joe Zimmerer: -Mary Hudson to John Reed in 1872 in Carroll County -Mattie A. Hudson to John M. Prather in 9 April 1891 in Pulaski County -No Henry Rice Browning match (disk covers marriages up to 1900) -No Wysong (Nyles, Clarence, Jonathan) on the disk -No Noah Browning, No Hattie Browning - most Brownings found in Pulaski Co. ___________________ I know I repeat this a lot, but it bears repeating: This disk is far from a complete compilation of marriage information. It has some - not all marriages. If you don't find the information on the disk, it does not mean that the marriage did not take place in Kentucky. It just means that it was not collected for inclusion on this disk or was not recorded in such a way as to be available for collection on the disk. Good Luck! Diane Shaw Sunny & COLD - St. Louis, MO

    1. [KYJEFFER] German Research Sources
    2. Rüdiger Kemmler
    3. Hello, as a have received various mails to give members of the list some guidance in the German reserach I want to give you all some hints: You can access the German phone book online at: http://www.teleauskunft.de There is a portal for German speaking genealogy research at: http://www.genealogienetz.de/, which gives also information in English. >From the Main page you can access the German ancestor database, small version of rootsweb.com at http://gedbas.genealogy.net/index.jsp. Just enter the searched Name in the field "Nachname" and press the button "Suchen". Further you can access the database for German researchers at http://foko.genealogy.net/index.jsp. You can search for names or cities to look for researcher who's focus is on that name or the location. If you are on the result page you can use the check boxes to get the address of the researcher. The information will be sent to your email adress after you have agreed to the general agreement (just enter your email adress and press the large button). You can check out also the database for emigrants from the Kingdom of Wuerttemberg at http://www.auswanderer.lad-bw.de/cgi-bin/main.pl?link=recherche. Just click on "Suchformular" and then enter the name you are researching. Be aware that the database is by far not complete. I hope, this will help you to find your ancestors. Eventually you should also connect to some of the rootsweb mailing lists for the respective areas. Kind regards, Ruediger Munich, Germany ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please check out my emigration website: http://home.nexgo.de/r.kemmler

    3. Hello Wayne, I tried to get to your website, but unfortunately the page can't be displayed. Btw. Where does your Walker come from. I'm still searching for the descendants of Johann Martin Walker and his wife Catherine see the attached file. I have some more emigrants with the Name Walker emigrated to Kentucky in my database, who I haven't posted on my website yet. So if your emigrants have been German and emigrated from Wuerttemberg I could look, whether the data matches. 3. Advice.... Im have a certain family member who died in Mar 16, 1907 in Kosmosdale, Jefferson County. At the time he was married and had 6 children all under the age of 19. Ive been unable to find the family in the 1900 & 1910 census. But in 1920 the widow and children are renting a home on Valley Road. Do you think there are probate records for this man? ~Susan

    3. Hi Pam, there are several possibilities. First of all you can post me the name and I will see, what I can do for you. There are a few databases for German researcher's where I can look. I have also about 900 emigrants on my website and about 1000 in my database. If you are lucky, you will find him. Much easier would be, if you have at least the state, where he came from.
