I would be happy to share information with anyone researching this family branch. My primary goal is to identify William A.s parents. Terry L. Linthicum
The only William that shows up on a census is in 1900, and is Single, and a boarder. The 1880 census is online at LDS.org, and you can find all Gilmore Surnames listed for the whole country -- Teddy List Mom for the Grayson Co Ky List, Brady, Vertrees, Ford, Fulkerson, and Commonwealth http://www.kygenweb.net/pd-res/deford.html -------------- Original message -------------- > Looking for any info on William Gilmore and Mary Fox. Gilmore on the 1850 census Jefferson co., M 432, Roll 207, page 267. I feel this is the family of Sarah but she wasn't born until Dec 11, 1950. Her death cert states mother-Mary Fox and father-Wm Gilmore. This W.D. 1850 has wife Mary and one of his children's middle lame is Fox. I think this is ours but find nothing in the 1860 census. I'm dead in the water now. Barbara
Darcy, Thanks much for the reply. The family I am seeking is JAROSCH. I have them in the 1900/1920 census as living on Lloyd St. This I suspect is the NE area of downtown Lou. They immigrated to USA in 1887 and I suspect they could have lived in Shippingport bet. 1887 and 1900. I have some old pics which may show their home at one of these locations. I am also interested in these 2 families with the surname of Kuchenbrod if by chance you ran across something abt. them and Shippingport. You mention directories- perhaps these will help you if you have not already seen them: http://distantcousin.com/Directories/KY/Louisville/1911/ http://www.kentuckycitydirectory.com/Louisville/1859/Book.asp?Page=123 Additionally, I had mentioned the OLD pic with many men on it. Maybe you can check it out on the Jeff. Co/ Rootsweb site: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyjeffer/pictures/kenny/kennyphotos.html The pic I am referring to is the one titled "Unknown 2". Thanks Much for any additional input and hope you find these few links useful. Barbara, I think I can help. Mary FOX was a daughter of Jacob FOX and Eliza BIGGS, my g-g-g-grandparents. She was born ca. 1824, probably in Bullitt County, Kentucky. She married William D.
