My friends - Today, we are returning to our review of some newspaper snippets from the 1870 - 1900 time frame in Calloway County. We had begun this series some time ago, with two earlier installments in this subject area. JP List subscribers who see a name in the listing below on which they would like the full extract of the newspaper snippet can request it by sending a message to me with the name of the person on whom the snippet is requested. As always, your assistance in not resending this entire message back to me with your request is greatly appreciated. Because of the length of some of these snippets, I would also request that you exercise prudence in asking for multiple names - it may not be possible to provide all of them, if most of them are very long narratives, due to the time constraints I face. These snippets are always very popular items, and requests for them run to large numbers each time I offer them. Please bear in mind that one never knows what will come in any of these snippets. It may be nothing more than a report on someone visiting someone else. Or, it could be a death notice which is several paragraphs long and names all of the relatives. Its a mixed bag. Tomorrow, we will finish out the week - and the century(even if it does not *really* end until a year from tomorrow<g>) - with either a Tips series item, or another in the Skills Puzzler series. -B +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Calloway County - Late 19th Century Newspaper Snippets - Part 3 NOTE: Listings which show a man's and woman's name on the same line are usually marriage notices.
