Looking for anyone with information relative to Alex Marshall HILL. He was born about 1828 in Kentucky or Stewart County, TN. I find him listed on the 1870 census of Graves County, KY with the following family members: Wife: Nancy (WILFORD?), born about 1836, died/divorced before 1880 Charles, born about 1860 Tamerew E. "Fanny", born March 1862 Nancy E. F., born about 1863 Lula V., born about 1868 I then find Alex listed on the 1880 Graves County, KY census with a new wife and two more children: Wife: Louisa E., born about 1846 John R., born about 1872 Addie M. born July 1880 There is a marriage record in Graves County, KY for an M. HILL and Nancy WILFORD on 15 Dec 1855. Was this Alex and his first wife Nancy? This record indicates the groom was from Stewart County, TN. This has been a very tough nut to crack. PLEASE, isn't there anyone out there who can help me make a dent in this family? Where did they come from? Which HILL line did they descend from? What happened to the descendants of all these children? Please write me back if you have any information, or perhaps some time to maybe help me work on this.
