Searching to see if a family story is true. I've been told that my gggrandfather was killed in Clinton. The story is that he and another man were arguing politics on the court house grounds. The other man shot him from his horse. His name was William Riley Bryant/Obryant. This most likely happened in or around 1862. I would like to hear from anyone that has any information.
