    2. Those Meshew's may be "outlaws" instead of "in-laws". Still, I looked back again, and I found James Lewis MESHEW, b.1806, SC, d. 1860, m. date unk, Gracy (__?__) . They had, at least, (6) children, who were: Cynthia MESHEW, b. c1833. Thomas MESHEW, b. c1835 (you show him wed to Margaret A. WOMBLE) Jessy MESHEW, b. c1837 (could this have been who you call Jeff, many s's looked like f's?) (Married to Martha Ann WOMBLE) Lydia MESHEW b. c1839 Stephan MESHEW, b. c1839 Louisa MESHEW, b. c1844, m. Joseph A. WOMBLE, b. 1845. Children were: *A. B. Bert WOMBLE, b. c1883 *Ruby Odessa WOMBLE, b. c1886, m. (__?__) WOODWARD Now James was one of (4) sale and (3) female siblings of Jesse MESHEW, b. c1756, VA, d. 1841, m. Elizabeth CROXTON, b. c1771, NC, d. c1855, dau. of Benjamin CROXTON, b. C1742, VA, and Mary MINTER, b. (__?__), VA. If you want to send me your address, I will mail you a copy of the work done by Ms. Liz DiGravina and Mr. Howard MESHEW, covering the heritages of CROXTON and MESHEW . Mrs. Maria Jane MESHEW WATTS, of Hickman, KY, also contributed to the write up....in fact, she was accepted into the DAR based on her work of the MESHEW family.
